Membership Agreement + Community Guidelines

We're so grateful you've found your way to Harmony Collective. This community exists as a living space for authentic connection, meaningful growth, and shared service. We are a safe place to slow down, reconnect with your own wisdom, and grow alongside others doing the same. As you explore the conversations, practices, and gatherings we offer, we invite you to stay rooted in your own curiosity, care, and discernment.

Why We're Here

Harmony Collective exists to cultivate community, support healing, encourage lifelong learning, and inspire service across many backgrounds, beliefs, and paths. We gather in love, seek wisdom with open hearts, and serve one another with compassion, trusting that healing ripples outward into families, communities, and the world.

We honor that each member is sovereign in their own journey and free to engage, discern, and choose what is true for them, without pressure or coercion.

Our Baseline

We begin with a presumption of good intent, paired with responsibility for impact. We can be direct and kind at the same time. We can disagree and stay in relationship.

We practice sovereignty with humility: I am responsible for my words, my tone, and my choices. You are responsible for yours.

How We Treat One Another

Basic kindness is the foundation of how we operate.

We welcome:

  • Respectful dialogue, sincere questions, and lived experience (“Here's what happened for me…”)

  • Curiosity over certainty

  • Repair when we miss each other: owning tone, clarifying intent, making it right

We don't allow:

  • Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, mockery, or intimidation

  • Pile-ons (multiple members ganging up on one person)

  • Shaming language aimed at another member's character, intelligence, or worth

  • Sharing someone's private information without their consent

Disagreement is welcome. Vitriol is not.

Navigating Disagreement

If you feel the need to challenge or counter someone's perspective:

  • Start with a clean mirror — reflect what you heard first (“What I'm hearing you say is…”)

  • Speak from your own seat — use “I” language and lived experience; avoid sweeping claims about what others “are.”

  • Address ideas, not identities — critique the point, never the person

  • Ask before you advise — not everyone wants feedback; curiosity is a gift

  • Keep it proportional — one thoughtful reply beats five reactive ones; if you're activated, pause before you speak

Safety, Care & Boundaries

Harmony Collective is a space for learning, healing, and connection. It is not a substitute for medical care, mental health treatment, crisis support, or one-on-one therapy. Please don't diagnose fellow members or pressure anyone into a practice, disclosure, or belief.

If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, please seek local professional support immediately.

Sharing, Privacy & Consent

Treat what's shared within your time at Harmony Collective as personal and tender unless someone explicitly says otherwise.

Many Paths, One Community

Members will explore many tools and frameworks: spiritual, psychological, somatic, creative, and practical. Some approaches will resonate with you; others won't, and that's alright. Coaching, therapy, contemplative practice, creative expression, time in nature, and meaningful relationships can all be valid pathways toward growth.

You're welcome to opt out, ask questions, or name a concern, but not to police, shame, or condemn a fellow member for exploring in good faith. If something isn't for you, it's enough to say, “Not my path.” Let others walk theirs.

Membership Expectations

Membership here is a relationship, not a transaction. We ask every member to stay engaged through some combination of time, talent, and/or treasure — whatever mix genuinely fits your season of life.

  • Time — attending gatherings, events, and offerings, in person or online, and staying connected to the life of the community

  • Talent — contributing your skills and gifts in service of the collective, such as event support, communications, bookkeeping, facilities or grounds care, or stepping into a stewardship role

  • Treasure — financial giving, at whatever amount and frequency feels right for you; there is no minimum required to belong. Donations are key to our facility's operations and help us keep our doors open, our physical spaces well-maintained, and our programs and offerings accessible to the whole community. Every gift matters, and consistent giving — however modest — is what allows Harmony Collective to remain a lasting home for this work.

You're not expected to offer all three at once. What matters is staying in active relationship with the community, in the way that's available to you, rather than meeting a fixed dollar amount or attendance quota.

If your capacity to participate shifts, please reach out to a Membership Guide. We'd rather have that conversation than watch you drift away quietly.

Reporting & Support

Harmony Collective is organized as a heterarchy, which means authority and accountability are shared rather than concentrated in a single leader. Even so, some members carry specific stewardship roles to help keep this space safe and functional.

If something feels unsafe, hostile, or violating:

  • Speak with a Harmony Collective Council Leader or a Membership Guide

  • Reports are reviewed with care, and we may reach out for context

  • Harmony Collective Council Leaders or  Membership Guides may request repair, issue a warning, or,  in severe or repeated cases,  end a membership

A Note on Experiential Offerings

Some Harmony Collective gatherings involve embodied or experiential practices like movement, breathwork, or other somatic modalities. Because these carry their own considerations, participation in a specific offering may require a separate informed consent and assumption-of-risk form at the time of registration.

This membership agreement, on its own, does not ask you to waive any legal rights. It is simply a shared understanding of how we treat one another and this space.

Agreement

By joining Harmony Collective, I agree to hold these shared agreements in the spirit of Love, Wisdom, and Service.
